Nordic Track Treadmill Background
Nordic Track is a company founded in Minnesota back in 1975. Their brand originally was known for their ski machines but have grown in popularity in the treadmill market. ICON Health and Fitness has now purchased the Nordic Track brand as well as other treadmill brands around the world. NordicTrack separates their treadmill series into five different classifications. The Commercial series, elite series, c series, incline series, and fit series. Each classification has varied price treadmills within them.
Nordic Track Treadmill Comparison Chart

The Commercial Series was built for people who plan to repeatedly use the treadmills often. Places like small gyms or a series athlete that runs daily should look into the commercial series because of the raving reviews this series gets. For instance, the Commercial 1750 model is only priced at $1,499 but you get 3.5 horsepower, decline down to negative 3 percent and an incline of up to 15 percent. The cool thing is that with each new years we find improvements being made in all of these categories as well.
The C Series Treadmills are newer to the NordicTrack lineup and are often loaded with some very powerful components. They are primarily meant for in home use and not repeated 24/7 use like the commercial series is rated for. These are also generally cheaper in price than the commercial series allowing them to be more in reach of the average user's budget. The great part about these is that most of them come with lifetime warranties on the frame and even the motor. Also generally they have somewhere around 3 to 5 years warranty on the parts and 1 to 2 years on labor.
Next brings us to their Elite Series Treadmills which are created with the most care and are also ending up to be the most expensive treadmills Nordic Track sells. They come with the Gold Warranty which means that you get Lifetime on the motor and frame, 2 years on the parts and 1 year on the labor. Also a couple of them like the Elite 9700 Pro for instance come with a Android touch screen browser for internet support. That means you can browse the web and check your news stories and whatnot while being on the machine. The elite series treadmills also have 30+ built in workout apps to maximize your fat burn.
The Incline series treadmills are often rated as the easiest way to burn fat and lose weight because of the series incline they can provide. At up to 40% incline and 6% decline they bring an impossible burn to your legs and cause your body to shed calories and fat like it's nobody's business. They are actually endorsed by Jillian Michaels from the biggest loser. These treadmills provided seriously intense workouts that you will feel the next day.
The Fit series treadmills by NordicTrack are the lower end models. They are the cheapest treadmills they sell but still pull in consistently high ratings from users. Especially those looking for just a basic sturdy treadmill for in home use. When you buy a fit series treadmill you can expect to get all of the necessities like sturdiness, adjustability and safety. You also end up getting a couple extra features like iPod speakers port to play music out of. Not to mention the iFit live connectivity.
NordicTrack Treadmill Pros
- Great Warranties: All of the treadmills NordicTrack makes have at least a 1 year parts and labor warranty and most of them even have a lifetime warranty on the frame and motor.
- Sturdiness: Out of all of the NordickTrack treadmills we tried we did not have any problems with sturdiness. In the past they were known to not be as good as they are now.
- Features: Each of their treadmills come stock with some awesome speakers. Depending on your price range you could end up with an iPod dock or even a touchscreen television with internet

NordicTrack Treadmill Cons
- Treadmill Size: Compared to other home gym equipment companies like Proform, the overall size footprint of NordicTrack treadmills is just a little too big for our liking. Look at the measurements on each treadmill and see just how much space they will take up in your home.
- Discontinued Models Quality: Before recent times NordicTrack was known to make less than high quality treadmills and other products. They have since worked harder to bring up the quality and it really shows in their new lines.
